Universitas Padjadjaran Choir (UNPAD choir) is very grateful and grateful for the abundance of His blessings and Gifts throughout the year 2018. Here is a summary of the activities conducted by UNPAD Choir during the year:

The first activity in the year 2018 was the vocal recital I which carries the title “A Faithful Journey”. Through vocal recital, UNPAD Choir demonstrated the expertise of its members to sing solo. The vocal recital Concert “A Faithful Journey” was held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 then. This vocal recital is the first of two vocal recitals to be held in the year 2018. This recital concert was held in RSG Building 2, Universitas Padjadjaran campus Iwa Koesoemasoemantri, Jalan Dipati Ukur Bandung.

The second activity of UNPAD Choir was the 13th Intern concert “Enchanting Chants”. This 13th Intern concert, held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 then. The concert with the title “Enchanting Chants” was held in Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata, the campus of Padjadjaran Dipatiukur University. The concert of two of the youngest generations of UNPAD Choir succeeded in making Grha Sanusi full of audiences that reached a total of up to 800 spectators.

In addition, Unpad choir also participated in one of the major activities which is also the first collaboration of UNPAD Choir with renowned young composers of Indonesia. On 20 May 2018 ago, Unpad Choir participated in the Choralboration Concert with Ken Steven. This collaborative concert was held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the talented Indonesian composer, Ken Steven. The Choralboration concert was held at the the closed theater of the Bandung Tea House. Besides Unpad Choir, Ken Steven also collaborated with Aperto Singers. In this collaboration, UNPAD Choir was entrusted to bring Ken Steven’s songs by his composer himself. In addition to collaboration in the field of voting, the concert also presents several other performances such as the stirring dance of the heart of Asep Chilok Dance Co., the piano game Daniel Alexander, and the flute of Ronny Gunawan.

Another activity that is also done by UNPAD choir is Harmony Ramadan. This year, UNPAD Choir again organized a social activity “UNPAD choir sharing” coincided with the holy month of Ramadan. This activity uses the theme as well as the title “Harmoni Ramadhan” and is held on Sunday, 27 May 2018 ago at the orphanage Riyaadlul Jannah, Cikeruh village, Jatinangor. This activity is the second social activity that was proclaimed by the division of Project Development PSM Unpad.

During the management of this year, UNPAD choir also conducted several comparative studies that provide various new views. In essence, UNPAD Choir realized that the desire to develop by continuing to learn is one of Indonesia’s choir image. This was then realized with the holding of comparative study activities. During the 2018 years, UNPAD Choir received an appeal study of eight choirs from several cities, they are: Purwacaraka Music Studio Choir Cibubur (30/8), student choir Satya Dharma Gita Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (15/9) in Unpad Dipatiukur, choir student Gita Tirtayasa University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (29/9), Telkom University Choir, PSM Universitas Brawijaya, Community University participation in Cirebon Gunung Jati, Community University PSM Sudirman, and PSM Gadjah Mada University in A.

In the year 2018, UNPAD Choir was even 40 years old. This is certainly making the year 2018 as a special year. Various achievements and works have accompanied UNPAD choir along the course of 40 year. To celebrate this happy moment, UNPAD Choir held the anniversary celebration of UNPAD Choir’s 40 at Arion Swiss-Belhotel, on Saturday (14/07). The event was livened up by the active members of UNPAD choir and members of UNPAD Choir alumni from various generations. In addition to being a gathering event for all the young and past generations Unpad Choir, various new programs that are being run by the management of the Apresiatif cabinet also introduced so that alumni can know more closely the young generation of PSM Unpad.

In this year, Unpad Choir was also given the opportunity to compete in the 7th Bali International Choir Festival last July. Right at the age of 40, Universitas Padjadjaran Choir (UNPAD choir) re-carved the achievement by earning a Grand Champion in the 7th Bali International Choir Festival (BICF) at the La Prime Plaza Hotel Denpasar, Bali On 27 July 2018 ago. As General champion 7th BICF 2018, UNPAD Choir successfully defeated 146 groups from various categories from 16 countries such as Latvia, Canada, Lithuania, Philippines, South Korea, China, Indonesia, and many other parts of the world. In addition, UNPAD Choir also managed to obtain Special Jury Award of Excellent Programs, and Arvin Zeinullah as the conductor of UNPAD Choir obtained Special Jury Award as Excellent Conductor.

In the middle of this year, in commemoration of the 73 years of Indonesian independence, the choir of Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD Choir) was again given the opportunity by the provincial government of West Java (province of Jabar) to be the filler Aubade in The 73 ANNIVERSARY ceremony. Taking place in Gasibu Square, Bandung, this ceremony was held in two parts, namely flag raising and flag decline (title Twilight), Friday, 17 August 2018 ago. Unpad has also been the filler of Aubade the 73 independence ceremony in Bandung City Hall and the rectorate of Universitas Padjadjaran.

After the first vocal recital concert, at the end of this year Unpad choir again held a vocal recital. Through the vocal recital concert II: “A Wondrous Euphony”, UNPAD Choir again demonstrated the quality of singing its members on Thursday, 18 October 2018 ago. The concert held at RSG Gedung 2, Padjadjaran University, Jalan Dipatiukur Bandung was opened by Syifa Ramadhani Rizqullah who sang Verlust, the masterpiece of Fanny Hensel. Not only showing the sound and beautiful piano in the form of solo appearances and ensembles, “A Wondrous Euphony” also presents a drama attraction that makes the singer’s appearance increasingly interesting.

In the 2018 Thaun, Unpad Choir was given many opportunities to learn and gain new experience. One of them is with an annual concert that is very different from the previous years. Still in order to celebrate the anniversary of UNPAD Choir which is 40 years, UNPAD Choir held an annual concert which is also the first collaboration concert of UNPAD Choir with IPB Agria Swara COMMUNITY. The concert stage was packed with more than 150 singers of two chorus built by Arvin Zeinullah. The 22nd annual concert This time was held in two places namely Tan Siong Kie Hall, Jakarta (25/11) and Grha Sanusi, Bandung (29/11).

The Agenda of UNPAD Choir is not complete without a new Student Admissions Network (RPAB). As the conclusion of this year’s RPAB, UNPAD Choir held a Welcoming Party activity which is located in Villa Rumah Kayu Organic, Lembang, Bandung Regency for three days (6-8/12). In addition to the new members and active students, the technical teams, alumni, and main trainers of UNPAD choir, Arvin Zeinullah, also participated in this activity. Through this activity, new members are required to know the culture and values of UNPAD choir.

In December, Universitas Padjadjaran Choir (UNPAD Choir) has undergone one of his annual activities, namely the great deliberation 2018 which aims to close one year of the management period that has been running. The great deliberation of the year was held in the Hall of the B Building Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor on Saturday (15/12). With this great deliberation, the in-action cabinet had completed its task, and the Anam Cara cabinet chaired by Galuh Valencia, Alto 1 (2016), would continue the struggle of UNPAD choir for a year ahead.

In the end, the year-end activities conducted by UNPAD Choir this year to welcome the New year holidays and Christmas is singing for three days at Trans Studio Mall Bandung (24-26/12). In addition to singing, UNPAD choir also raised money for competitions in the Philippines and Europe in the coming year 2019.
