The 2022 Unpad Choir Mid-Year Meeting was held on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Due to the pandemic, previous meetings were held virtually or online. However, Unpad Choir activities are transitioning from online back to offline. Therefore, the 2022 Mid-Year Meeting was held on a hybrid. Participants who can attend in person or offline come directly to the Dipatiukur Campus in Bandung, and those who cannot attend offline take part in this meeting through the Zoom Meeting.
The implementation of the Mid-Year Meeting has the objectives, among others, to account for the activities and work programs of the management, as well as to evaluate the work results of each division in detail, discuss the achievements and obstacles during the half period, accommodate suggestions and input on the obstacles that are owned by both members of the board as a whole. as well as from the Akang and Teteh Steering Committee (SC) and the Technical Team, as well as to realize a better performance of each division.
“The biggest benefit of implementing the Mid-Year Meeting is so that within half a year of remaining management, evaluations, obstacles, and deficiencies that have occurred can be reduced and may not even recur. In addition, with the implementation of this Mid-Year Meeting, each division member can see the progress, or problems and obstacles that occur in other divisions so that it is hoped that all members can help and work together, management members have broader insights about the conditions of each division, not only fixated on the division he runs so that the management can run better” said Dyah Fazriya who is one of the Steering Committee (SC) Unpad Choir.
This year’s Mid-Year Meeting activity was also carried out based on urgency during the transition from online to offline activities. “This year’s Progressio Cabinet made a lot of adjustments, from the form to the organizational system. So far, I am grateful and want to appreciate the performance of the Progressio Cabinet in seeking to return to the normal activities of Unpad Choir,” added Birgitta Fortune Mupuni as Chair of Unpad Choir 2022.
The Mid-Year Meeting was attended by all divisions, the Steering Committee (SC), and the Technical Team. This Mid-Year Meeting was opened with remarks by Birgitta and Tsabita as Chair and Deputy Chairperson of Unpad Choir. The Chair and Deputy Chairmen also read and explain the regulations of the Mid-Year Meeting, as well as the agenda for the 2022 Mid-Year Meeting. The next agenda was a presentation by the ten divisions, which contained the division’s programs, the work results of each program, as well as the challenges and obstacles of each program.
The presentation is divided into two presentation sessions where at the end of each session there are two question and answer sessions with three questioners in each session, relating to the points that have been conveyed in the division presentation. The presentation of first session began with presentations from the Chair and Vice Chair, then continued by the Secretary Division, Finance Division, Entrepreneurship and Business Development (ENBD) Division, External Division, Internal Division, Choral Development Division, and ended with a question and answer session. Given the agenda that has been going on for a very long time, a quiz game was held before continuing the next session. This quiz is a great way to lighten the mood. This session managed to restore the energy of all participants.
After the game session, the meeting continued with the presentation of the second session from the Project Development Division, Research and Development Division, General Affairs Division, and Media Promotion and Creative Branding Division (MPCB), and ended with a question and answer session.
Based on the results of the Mid-Year Meeting report submitted, the overall performance of the Progressio Cabinet during its half-year of management was quite good. However, there are certain shortcomings, both from each division and as a whole, considering this transition period.
“The biggest obstacle we experienced probably revolved around the transition period, namely the transition from online activities to offline activities. This makes us very aware of Unpad Choir’s current resources, both in terms of organization and singing technique. This obstacle certainly makes us pay more attention and continue to evaluate our strategy and in processing these resources, “said Tsabita as Deputy Chair of Unpad Choir. This obstacle can be overcome by establishing good communication and also a critical attitude from all management elements.
After the implementation of this Mid-Year Meeting, it is hoped that all members can learn from the mistakes that have occurred and can be more active and more critical in dealing with existing problems. These things are needed so that the remaining Unpad Choir programs can be carried out properly. “My hope for the next half year is that all members can maintain their fighting spirit and commitment to activities, have a high desire to learn and can make good improvements for Unpad Choir,” concluded Birgitta.
