[BANDUNG unpadchoir.com] Earlier this year, Padjadjaran University Choir (PSM Unpad) had the opportunity to be visited by another student choir colleague, Siliwangi University Student Choir (PSM Unsil) on Saturday (22/02). Unsil Choir came from Tasikmalaya to Padjadjaran University in Jatinangor to conduct a comparative study with Unpad Choir. With the number of twenty people who came in the comparative study this time, Unsil Choir also came along with their coach, Eva Santiana.

Unpad Choir held a presentation at the beginning of the event about the organizational structure of Unpad Choir, namely the Kontributif Cabinet with its chairman Raihan Tsany Kurnia. The presentation was carried out by a core part of the cabinet consisting of managers in their respective fields. The brief presentation on the cabinet also opened question and answer sessions for members of the Unsil Choir regarding the management of Unpad Choir. After it ended, the presentation of organizational structure from Unsil Choir was held with Muhammad Habib as its chairman. The presentation session of the Unsil Choir encouraged several questions from Unpad Choir members about the management of Unsil Choir with a different organizational structure from Unpad Choir.

In this comparative study, Unsil Choir also intended to find out more about Indonesia Kirana from Unpad Choir. Indonesia Kirana is a youth movement initiated by Unpad Choir to achieve achievements in the international scene. Unsil Choir had the aim to be able to move like Unpad Choir in implementing the committee system and its organization in the field.

“Before I met with Unpad Choir board members, I only saw Unpad Choir through YouTube and articles about Unpad Choir activities. Unsil Choir that is still a baby because it only competed abroad in 2014 intends to learn from Unpad Choir who already have more experience, “said Eva as the coach of Unsil Choir.

The presentation on Indonesia Kirana was carried out by Galuh Valencia as chair of Indonesia Kirana 2020 along with several other committees representing divisions in the Indonesia Kirana committee. There were several questions raised by members of the Unsil Choir who were enthusiastic in following the presentation of the committee system in Indonesia Kirana. The presentation from Akang and Teteh Indonesia Kirana also closed the series of comparative study events this time.

“It’s exciting and it becomes a challenge because there is not much preparation time. It is also a new experience because this is the first comparative study in this cabinet. “, said Raihan as the Chairperson of Unpad Choir 2020 regarding this comparative study.

This comparative study with Unsil Choir was indeed an opening act in 2020 for Unpad Choir. When asked about the impression of Unpad Choir, Habib as the Chairman of Unsil Choir stated that Unpad Choir was open and generous on sharing its knowledge. Hopefully, this comparative study will provide benefits for both parties and the knowledge that has been shared can be applied well.
