Padjadjaran University Choir (Unpad Choir)

Padjadjaran University Choir (Unpad Choir) is one of the student activity unit in Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, established in 1978. With more than 150 members, it has grown to be one of the most important student activity unit in ceremonial and protocol activities in Padjadjaran University. As a professional organization, it also has been trusted to perform for various events working with nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians.

In its existence in the choral world, Unpad Choir has succeeded in making a name for itself as one of the prominent university choirs in Indonesia by winning various national and international choral competitions and festivals. Conducted by Arvin Zeinullah since 2001, Unpad Choir’s most recent achievements include: winning the Third Winner of Artsong-Classic Category and Folklore Category in 1st Parahyangan International Chamber Choir Competion in 2009 in Bandung, Indonesia; winning First Places for Advanced Mixed Choir and Female Choir Category at "The 24th Praga Cantat Competition and Festival 2010" in Prague, Czech Republic; winning the “48thMontreux Choral Festival” with five titles including the Grand Prix Winner in Switzerland and performing cultural concerts in Sorbonne, France and Switzerland in 2012; and many others. Unpad Choir has been commended for its prestige and success as one of the best choirs in Indonesia.
